Here's a look at the work we did while out at Bonney. The first picture shows the helo pad after we removed the treads and the second is after the deck disassembly. Basically, we started with a full helo pad weighing roughly 15,000 pounds and unscrewed it, moved it up the hill a few hundred feet and raked up the dirt in the old spot to make it look like it was never there.

We moved all of it by hand except for the 12x12 timbers and a couple other sling loads. It was just good old fashion hard work. The sling loads were fun too, though... nothing like being landed on by a C-212 helicopter while trying to put the little ring in the hook between the skids. There just so happened to be a film crew on sight that day, so maybe I'll be the next big star of "Construction Safety in the Dry Valleys."
