Today we opened up some large wooden crate/boxes that had been out on the ice for the last year and although totally sealed, they were found packed solid with snow. It's pretty amazing how much wind there is down here.

im very impressed with the frequency of your blogs. i love the pictures!! i clicked on the cross/sunset one to write something, but then realized i was going to write exactly what annie wrote...so i thought i'd comment on this one instead.
